Alphen aan den Rijn

Birds from all parts of the world

Alphen aan den Rijn - Avifauna bird park is a zoo entirely specialised in birds. The birds come from all over the world; from the tropics up to the far north. There are over 450 different species in different settings. In the subtropical main hall you can walk freely among the birds.

Night safari

In the bird zoo there is a special Cuba section and an area around birds from Asia. It's also possible to do a 'night safari' to discover birds that are active in the dark.
The Australian Kookaburra bird and the Kiwi from New-Zealand are shown in a typical 'down-under' environment. There are also demo's with birds and you can see how the animals are feeded.
