Bad Bentheim - The medieval castle of Bad Bentheim is located on a hill in the German-Dutch border area. The castle has been inhabited since 1421 by the descendants of the counts and princes of Bentheim and Steinfort, distant descendants of the counts of Holland.

The town of Van Bentheim is located in a hilly area. North of Bad Bentheim lies the Bentheimer Wald where you can enjoy walking and cycling. There are some sandstone rocks in the Bentheimer Hute- and Schneitelwald.
