The oldest zoo of The Netherlands

Amsterdam - Artis is the oldest zoo in the Netherlands and was founded in 1838. With its historical buildings, winding paths and majestic trees, the zoo still has that lovely atmosphere from the past. Artis is located nearby the city center of Amsterdam. There are more than 900 different animals, varying from elephants, tigers and lions to birds, snakes and fishes. Children, but also their parents will love Artis. It's great fun for the entire family.

Microbia

In addition to the animals there is also a planetarium where you can learn more about the stars and our universe, there is a Geological Museum and a Zoological Museum. Relatively new is Microbia, the only microbe museum in the world.
