Take a stroll in natural reserve Reestdal

Balkbrug - The Wheem is the starting point of several cycling and walking routes through the national reserve Reestdal. One of the inhabitants of this river valley is the badger. The badger is a nocturnal animal, but the animal can sometimes be seen walking at dusk on a meadow or forest.

The visitor center of De Wheem is located in a typical farm in the small village of Oud-Avereest and is operated by the province of Overijssel.
