Ruinen

Unique population of Dutch meadow and wading birds

Ruinen - The Black-tailed Godwit was elected the National Bird of the Netherlands. Nice, but how often do you see this special meadow bird with its long bill? The same applies to the lapwing, curlew and redshank. These beautiful birds are not easy to spot in the wild. Ruinen Bird and Animal Park has a special population of Dutch meadow and wading birds, imitating the natural environment as much as possible.
