Hidden castle in the city center of Leiden

Leiden - Ten centuries ago, the point where the Old- and New Rhine merge was an ideal place built a 12 meter high hill with a rounded castle to monitor the river crossing and the associated trade.

Despite the centuries the castle has withstood time. From the castle hill, also called a motte, you have a beautiful view over the city.
