Breakwater with a fantastic view
Hoek van Holland - The Noorderpier in Hoek van Holland is actually a breakwater and not a pedestrian promenade. Nevertheless, it is inviting to take a walk to the end of the pier. Here you have a fantastic view of the Rotterdam Maasvlakte and the ships sailing past. On the other side of the Noorderpier you have a view of the beach and on a clear day you can even see the Pier of Scheveningen!

The Noorderpier in Hoek van Holland is a wonderful place to get a breath of fresh air. You have a great view of the water and the harbor. Thanks to the new metro connection with Rotterdam you can get there in no time; the metro just about stops at the beach! The only big downside is that the factories across the street can really stink. So if the wind is wrong, it's gone quickly!
