Amsterdam - The Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam is dedicated almost entirely to the work from one of the most popular artists in the world. The Van Gogh museum houses the worlds largest collection of his work, spanning from his early work in South Netherlands, trough his impressionist years in Paris to his last years in St. Remy. There are more than 200 paintings, including one of his three famous sunflower paintings.
The Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam has also a vast collection of sketches and letters between Vincent and his brother Theo, showing the painter from every angle.
Furthermore there are selected works on display from friends and contemporary artists.
