Airport Hilversum, or EHHV in technical jargon, is a small airport on the edge of the Hilversum heath. The small scale is immediately the charm of this airport. You can spot aircraft well. Right on the field is a terrace and a field with benches from which you have a good view of what is happening. With a bit of luck the wind will be such that the landing / taking off planes will skim over your head. The airport is not only used for small propeller planes, but also for gliding or parachuting.

Hilversum airport is located near a beautiful heath and forest area. It is therefore a nice stop during a walking or cycling tour. The water-rich area of Loosdrecht is also nearby.

There is a beautiful forest and heathland area in the vicinity of the airport. The airport is a nice place for a break while walking or cycling.
