Wildlife spotting in the Oostvaardersplassen

Lelystad - The Oostvaardersplassen is a special nature reserve where you can spot birds and other wild animals all year round. The most impressive resident of the lake area is the white-tailed eagle, but you have to be lucky to spot this enormous bird. You have a better chance of seeing other (predatory) birds, deer or konik horses.

The number of walking routes through the Oostvaardersplassen is unfortunately limited. Still, you have a good chance of seeing wildlife, especially when it is wet and the reeds are high.
