Back to the stone age

Lelystad - If you could turn back time, how would man live in the year 4300 BC? In the stone age small encampments were located on the levees of a creek at Swifterband. The fisher-hunter-gatherers used to stay only during the season, but at some point in time they started small-scale cereal farming and a new settlement was founded.

Today you can step back in time by visiting the Swifterbant camp and get a picture of the stone age in the Netherlands.
