Castle of Floris V

Medemblik - Radboud Castle was built in 1282 by count Floris the Fifth to suppress local rebels. The castle is situated strategically near the harbour and the IJsselmeer lake.

The floor plan of the castle is similar to the Muiderslot castle in the city of Muiden, which was built around the same time. In the castle is a museum of medieval.
