Meet the animals

Leeuwarden - Ever watched a kangaroo in the eye? Walked with a penguin or roelroels, toepaja's, ocelots and doeroecoeli's seen? At Aqua Zoo Leeuwarden you are a guest between the animals and see them up close.

Animals at the zoo

Other animals you may encounter in the zoo are coatis, sea bears, strange birds such as cranes and vultures, several types of monkeys, broad forehead crocodiles, turtles and more. But also seals, meerkats and little pandas are not lacking.

Horror cave

In the 'horror cave' you can see smaller animals like creepy spiders and rats. In the indoor Naturama you can see several terrariums with reptiles.
