Den Bosch - An angel that holds a cell phone in its hands, calling to the heavens. The strange statue of a young winged woman, talking on a mobile phone has been added high on the Cathedral after its renovation in 2011.

96 statues

There are 96 statues on the roof of the St. Johns Cathedral. Finding the Angel can be a challenge: check the Cathedral from the south-side (from the square) and then take a close look at the arches. The Angel is really there!

The Angel holding a mobile phone is created by sculptor Ton Mooij on behalf of the church.

Climbing St. John Cathedral
